Yesterday at the top of the mountain the weather was foggy, but there was lots of snow. It was a bit heavy if you were used to finely groomed trails but otherwise pretty good. Whistler has had 130cm of snow in the past week.
At the bottom of the hill, the village was well attended. A lot of people are here getting the resort ready for the Olympics. The bars were fill as were the restaurants. No need to feel like a stranger because everyone is friendly and in a party mood. The Long Horn bar was packed so I visited the Irish Pub next door and had a great evening.
Tomorrow is supposed to be foggy at the top of the mountain and raining at the bottom. However, we will see……

Singles In Mont Tremblant Canada
Mont Tremblant is a four season resort that has something to offer everyone. It has luxurious 4 bedroom condos with swimming pools but also has a variety of studio apartments or condolettes if you are travelling alone. The surrounding area also has private accommodation for rent at reasonable prices. There are a number of General Stores in the area including one in the Pedestrian village where you can buy food and other supplies. A couple of useful websites for accommodation are www.tremblant.ca or www.cheztremblant.ca.
The skiing is great at this time of year and the pubs and restaurants are welcoming. When I finish a day of the slopes I go to one of the pubs in the pedestrian village for some Après Ski fun. I personally like either Le Shack, or La Diable. La Diable is a microbrewery with good food next to the General Store. Everybody is friendly and you immediately strike up a conversation with someone. People in their 20’s as well as seniors all mingle together.
Later in the evening when the music gets going people often visit bars like Le Petit Caribou or Café d'Époque which stay open until 3AM.
